A quick note: Who is Jesus?

Recently I had a dream in which I saw another young man, that I discipled years ago. He had come to the Lord in a very pure way and was a passionate follower of Jesus. In the dream he represented the current generation of young christians. He said very proud that he was able to transport himself in the spirit to Paris. I asked him who Jesus was for him at this moment. He answered:

‘Jesus is the representation of the fourth dimension. Thanks to Jesus we can now enter the supernatural!’

I told him Jesus is first of all the Son of God who came to die as the Lamb of God for our sins. The moment I said this, the young man lost his ability to transport himself to Paris.

God gave me this dream, to show me another danger of the current generation. Some don’t hear the message of turning from sin, and think Jesus is just the door to supernatural experiences and other cool stuff. But that is not what it’s about. As the Holy Spirit told me:

‘Go to the core of the matter…’ The heart of the problem of mankind is… sin. Sin separates us from God.

‘Everyone has sinned and is far away from God’s saving presence. But by the free gift of God’s grace all are put right with him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free.’ (Romans 3:23)

Dangers of Introspective.

It is of the utmost importance that we never try to analyze ourselves. Upon reading such a treatise as this, we may quite unconsciously become over-active in self-analysis. In observing the condition of our inward life we tend to over-analyze our thoughts and feelings and the movements of the inner man. This may result in much apparent progress, yet actually it renders treatment of the self life that much more difficult.Image

If we persistently turn within ourselves we shall lose our peace completely, for we shall soon discover the discrepancy which exists between our expectation and our actual condition. We expect to be filled with holiness but we are found wanting in holiness. This makes us uncomfortable. God never asks us to be so introspective. To do so constitutes one of the main reasons for spiritual stagnation. Our rest lies in looking to the Lord, not to ourselves. In the degree that we look off unto Him to that degree are we delivered from self.

We rest on the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, not on our own shifting experience. True spiritual life depends not on probing our feelings and thoughts from dawn to dusk but on “looking off” to the Savior!

You’re in grace, do not sin.

[The messy structure in this article is put there for a purpose]

All of those who do not repent, and prepare their hearts for his return, see him return at their death. Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: [the Jews and Romans] and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Rev 1:7 2000 years ago, to the Jewish High Priest and the Pharisees at his trial, Jesus said.. you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven. Mark 14:62

Those not purified, to see Jesus’ return before death, see him as they die, as all peoples, all nations, all generations do. This is not a particular generation. Each generation has thought they were the special one to see a physical return.

This will not be a pleasant experience, particularly for those who thought that He would know them. At judgment, Jesus said he would reject many who called him Lord and had even performed miracles in his name by telling them plainly: ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers [they still sin]! Mat 7:21-23 Until we hear his voice, obey his voice, abide in his Him, and are purified by him; we still sin and he doesn’t know us. The foolish virgins without oil in their lamps, said: Lord, Lord, open to us. (without abiding in Him, his Light and Living Word, voice) Replying, Jesus said: Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Without abiding in Him, he doesn’t know us. Jesus knows listeners: My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:27

If you abide in My  word, [Voice of the Lord], you are truly My disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:31-32

I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. John 8:34
You cannot continue to be a slave to sin and serve God, or even expect his approval. Rom 8:8
